Full Description
A fine quality late 18th Century, Georgian period Mahogany Secretaire bookcase. Having a wonderfully hand carved arched cornice with beaded, leaf and motif decoration. The astral glazed bookcase doors, with adjustable shelves within.
The hinged top two dummy drawers hinge open to reveal the beautiful fitted secretaire interior, with Satinwood and Boxwood inlay to the pigeon holes and drawers. The hide covered writing surface with tooled edging.
All the drawers with their original mercury gilded finish and raised on carved bracket feet.
