A very decorative and dramatic pair of Japanese Meiji period (1868-19120) bronze vases. Each having wonderful engraved scenes Samurai warriors on horseback, various coloured patination's, flared necks and shaped rim, engraved clouds to the tops, raised on separate bases which have classical motif decoration and ducks swimming in water, terminating in scrolling feet.
