Pair Japanese Miyao style Bronze engraved vases, late C19th.

A fine quality pair of late 19th Century, Meiji period (1868-1912) Miyao style patinated and engraved bronze vases with mythical Dolphin like handles either side. Each with scenes of cockerels among foliage, one with a scholar walking through the gardens the other with an attendant with a Tiger. Each raised on circular out swept bases with engraved scrolling waves.
