Large and rare pair of early 19th Century Chinese Famille Rose Fish Bowls. Each with wonderful bold colours, a rich green ground, classical boarders top + bottom with scrolling foliate decoration, exotic flowers, inset hand painted panels depicting scenes of classical furniture, vases and object. Fan shaped panels with lakes + mountains, further panels with Cockerels playing. Gilded Lion mask handles either side. The inside of each bowl having wonderful scenes of Carp swimming among reeds and lily's.
Raised on these wonderful hand-carved gilt wood bases. Total Height 97cm (38")
