A fine quality late 19th Century French gilded ormolu Gueridon, having an inset Lapis Lazuli marble top, monopodia supports to the three legs, pierced scrolling decoration to the frieze.
In the manner of Weisweller
Tables such as the present example were produced in abundance during the last quarter of the nineteenth century by maisons such as Sormani, Millet, Dasson, and Beurdeley. The present guéridon is particularly unusual for its beautiful Lapis Lazuli top.
